About the Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, this casual position plays a vital role in delivering safe and efficient warehousing services to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities. The Storesperson is responsible for the accurate handling of inventory assets, including receipt, validation, storage, preservation, and issuing of materials and supplies.

The role ensures asset protection and maintains security across the warehouse and associated storage locations, while upholding accuracy between physical stock and the SAP Warehouse and Inventory Management System. Strong attention to detail and adherence to process are essential to sustaining smooth operations and reliable supply chain performance.

Responsibilities include:

• perform all warehouse activities in line with company standards, policies, and safety procedures;
• maintain a safe work environment through hazard identification and corrective actions;
• receive, check, and validate incoming goods, reporting any discrepancies or damage;
• ensure accurate storage, labeling, and SAP updates for all inventory items;
• pick, prepare, and issue stock for scheduled work, ensuring timely delivery and stock rotation;
• conduct regular stocktakes and assist with off-site dispatch processes;
• handle and store hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with regulations;
• perform pre-start checks on materials handling equipment and maintain warehouse security; and
• contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support incident investigations.

About the Candidate:

• cert III Supply Chain Operations (desirable);
• current forklift and C class or HR drivers license;
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar stores or warehousing role;
• excellent organisational and process compliance skills;
• good interpersonal and communication skills;
• proven experience with warehouse clerical systems and computerised ordering;
• knowledge of SAP (advantageous); and
• understanding of dangerous goods and hazardous chemical storage requirements.
