We are looking for a  Cleaning Supervisor with a focus on safety and team building  who thrives in a busy environment.

About the Role

The Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Cleaning team ensuring all duties, safety and environmental standards are met.

About the Candidate

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• strong leadership and written and verbal communication  skills;
• prior experience in a professional cleaning role;
• minimum of 2-3 years supervisory experience;
• a strong understanding of  Workplace Health and Safety practices;
• advanced computer skills (All Microsoft applications including Outlook calendar); 
• reside or be prepared to relocate to within 60 minutes’ drive of the Greenbushes Lithium Operation; and
• single person accomodation can be provided for candidates living outside the preferred geographical range.

Specific duties

• supervise, train and motivate a team of Leading Hands and cleaning staff;
• conduct pre-start meetings and communication to teams at commencement of shifts and shift handover;
• attend and contribute to monthly toolbox meetings, scheduling and filling in for the Coordinator - Business Services as required;
• schedule work shifts, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure efficient cleaning operations;
• conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement;
• respond to employee-related issues, including disciplinary actions when necessary;
• ensure all areas of the mine site and off site facilities are cleaned and maintained according to established standards;
• inspect work areas regularly to identify and address cleaning needs, including high-priority and special cleaning projects;
• order cleaning supplies and equipment as required;
• monitor and maintain cleaning stock inventory levels, compliant storage of cleaning materials and ensure that cleaning staff are trained in safe chemical handling and equipment operation; and
• implement and enforce cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.

Competencies

Current Manual Drivers Licence.
