About the Role

Reporting to the Contracts Lead – Mining and Drilling and supported by a dedicated contracts/cost administrator, we have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Specialist – Mining and Drilling to join our team. As a key member of the broader Commercial team, you will play a critical role in managing the full lifecycle of mining and drilling contracts, supporting the ongoing expansion of our long-life Greenbushes Operation.

This position offers variety and challenge, covering both complex contractual arrangements and day-to-day contracting activities. It is ideally suited to someone with broad experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work confidently across diverse tasks.

This is a full-time role, based at our Greenbushes Lithium Operation, working a nominal 40-hour week. We offer flexibility in roster arrangements for the right candidate, along with genuine opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities include:

• conducting background research and data collection to support bid preparation;
• managing the full tender process, including preparation, administration, and evaluation of tenders;  
• administering contracts post-award, including maintaining contract registers, preparing contractor payment claims, minuting meetings, handling contractual correspondence, and drafting variations;
• completing purchase orders in SAP for established contracts and agreements; and
• performing a range of administrative tasks associated with contracts and cost administration.

About the Candidate:

• tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Mining or Law;
• minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a contract advisory or specialist role, with demonstrated capability across the full contract lifecyle;
• exposure to an open cut mining and/or exploration and operational drilling environment with a strong understanding of industry practices;
• proven experience in pre-award contracting activities, including tender preparation and evaluation;
• solid background in post-award contract administration, including contractor payment claims and variation management;
• high level of computer literacy, including MS Office, SAP and other relevant applications;
• exceptional written and verbal communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills;
• ability to perform under pressure; demonstrating analytical thinking and effective problem-solving skills; and
• acts with integrity and discretion, with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
