About the Role
Reporting to the IST Operational Systems Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery, administration, and operation of operational systems projects, primarily in the data and reporting domains. Working closely with the Perth Data Systems team and the broader IST group, this role provides ongoing end-user support, including level two troubleshooting and escalation when required. You’ll also assist with ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, and end-user training, ensuring systems and solutions run smoothly and effectively across the business.
This role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), with flexibility to work either on-site in Greenbushes or from our Corporate Office in Perth.
Responsibilities include:
- design, implement, and commission innovative solutions to improve data availability, analysis, and reporting;
- prepare clear and accurate project documentation to support successful delivery;
- provide ongoing support for operational and data systems at Greenbushes (site);
- troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site when required, ensuring minimal disruption;
- coach and train end-users in data applications, dashboards, and reporting tools to build self-service capability;
- develop and implement user-friendly dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights;
- collaborate with site teams on new projects requiring data systems integration; and
- support commissioning, handover, and troubleshooting for IST projects and components within larger initiatives.
About the Candidate:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science (highly desirable);
- formal training in SQL, scripting, or software development (desirable);
- strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively;
- excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
- conceptual understanding of mining-related systems, including: Historian, SCADA, Communications & Networks, Server Infrastructure (including Virtualisation), and Data Analysis and Interfacing;
- advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word;
- skilled in technical languages such as SQL, scripting, C#, and Visual Basic;
- experience with configuration and change management tools (GIT) and associated processes;
- ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including vendors, consultants, and internal process owners; and
- solid understanding of engineering principles.
