About the Role

We’re looking for a Mine Geologist to join the Greenbushes Operation on a maximum term contract. In this role, you’ll help improve mine geology processes to support business goals as the site continues to grow. You’ll work closely with production engineers, mining contractors, and metallurgists to maximise the efficient and profitable extraction of the orebody. 

Responsibilities include:

• geology mapping of drill patterns;
• updating the grade control model;
• tracking ore movements and ROM blending;
• designing digplans and marking up blasts;
• maintaining numerous stockpile inventories in a stockpile block model;
• RC grade control design and execution; and
• directing and supervising load and haul and drill and blast contractors.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a safety focused, proactive and positive individual with the following attributes to join the mining team in the role of Mine Geologist.  

• a tertiary qualification in Geology;
• current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence;
• relevant mine geology experience;
• an understanding of reconciliation practices;
• an understanding of QAQC practices for grade control; and
• high level of computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office, mining software and geological database software.
