About the Role:

Reporting to the Housing and Property Coordinator, this is a permanent full-time position working a 40-hour wee,  on a Monday to Friday roster.

Responsibilities include:

• ensuring gardens, designates walkways and infrastructure onsite, company housing and contractor village are maintained;
• daily, complete maintenance timesheet to record work time against work orders;
• scheduled maintenance activities as requested, complete check sheets and reports as required;
• operate gardening type equipment to maintain lawns, plants and walkways;
• participate in the development and review of work safe procedures;
• work within the community promoting Talison Values;
• audit Tool store stock and replenish;
• carry out repairs to buildings and site infrastructure; and
• cleaning of site building windows and flyscreens.

About the Candidate:

• Certificate III Horticulture is desirable;
• current ‘MR’ truck licence is desirable;
• current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence;
• HLTAID011 – Apply First Aid;
• experience and understanding of gardening maintenance activities;
• understanding the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems;
• ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work unsupervised;
• excellent communication skills and ability to interact with tenants;
• basic understanding of pumping systems; and
• understanding of safe work practices for using hand tools, machinery, fertiliser, and other chemicals.
