About the Role

Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent - Mechanical, the successful candidate will ensure the infrastructure mechanical maintenance is managed in accordance with statutory requirements and standards, and these are followed at Greenbushes Operations (Greenbushes, Site, Mine) and all offsite areas related to Talison operations as directed. 

This is a permanent, full-time position, working an attractive roster (7days on, 7days off), located in Greenbushes. This role requires that you live within 30 minutes of the Greenbushes Lithium Operation.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • interpret company policies to the team and enforce safety regulations;
  • interpret specifications, blueprints, and assign duties;
  • proactive approach to Business improvement;
  • ensure work is carried out within budgeted parameters;
  • identify skills required to meet workshop requirements and ensure the availability of those skills;
  • ensure recruitment, deployment, promotion and performance of staff within established levels and approved procedures;
  • carry out deployment and management of contract labour and services;
  • carry out a daily workplace inspection;
  • assist with the preparation of the maintenance capital and operating cost budgets annually;
  • liaise with the planning team on work management planning and scheduling;
  • manage rosters, leave and contractors to ensure sufficient labour is available;
  • knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022;
  • assemble and analyse contract quotations, for submission and recommendations; and
  • report on maintenance activities and Key Performance Indicators.

 

About the Candidate

  • minimum Mechanical Trade Qualification or equivalent (cert IV Leadership and Management desirable) ;
  • minimum 5-years post trade with supervisory experience in mineral processing industry;
  • proven problem solving, team development and facilitation skills;
  • knowledge and experience of computerised maintenance management systems and planning;
  • experience in safety management and safety performance systems;
  • ability to promote safe workplace and culture;
  • experience in contractor management;
  • experience in budgeting and cost control systems;
  • able to work autonomously and coordinate maintenance teams effectively;
  • effective time management;
  • management and communication skills;
  • apply First Aid; and
  • current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence.
