About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Infrastructure Planning, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure maximum asset availability, optimisation, reliability, and condition. This will be carried out in accordance with statutory regulations, manufacturers’ specifications, agreed quality, and Talison Lithium Pty Ltd (Talison, Company) standards. The role plays a key part within the Infrastructure team, delivering cost-effective and safe maintenance planning solutions that support operational excellence.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • liaising with site teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure resource and material availability;
  • maintaining and updating scheduling systems with personnel, site, and work order requirements;
  • conducting capacity planning, resource levelling, and integrating contractor schedules into unified site plans;
  • preparing, reviewing, and finalising weekly work schedules aligned with maintenance priorities and asset availability goals;
  • allocating and prioritising work orders based on capacity, defined priorities, and revision tracking;
  • leading scheduling meetings and communicating changes to all relevant stakeholders;
  • monitoring schedule compliance and reporting on labour hour ratios and performance metrics; and
  • ensuring consistent application of Work Management Processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

About the Candidate

  • at least 5 years of experience in scheduling, workforce coordination, or similar roles, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sectors;
  • demonstrates a solid understanding of maintenance planning principles;
  • proficient in scheduling tools such as MS Excel, MS Project, or SAP;
  • communicates and collaborates effectively across all levels and with contractors;
  • capable of managing competing priorities and performing well under pressure;
  • approaches work proactively and adapts well in dynamic environments;
  • highly organised with strong attention to detail and effective time management; and
  • committed to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

 

Competencies

The incumbent should have or will be required to obtain the following competencies:

  • Apply First Aid; and
  • current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence.
