About the Role

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the successful candidate will perform laboratory duties as directed.

This is a residential or Drive-In, Drive-Out (DIDO) role on a shift roster 7 days on 7 days off, 7 nights on 7 nights off 12-hour shifts, with accommodation provided at our modern, well-equipped camp.

Responsibilities include:

• perform shift analysis duties under supervision;
• prepare samples for analysis daily which include registration, splitting, crushing, pulverising and sizing in accordance with procedures;
• perform AAS and XRF analysis as per procedures;
• adhere to laboratory procedures;
• perform general housekeeping duties; and
• perform any other tasks as directed by the Laboratory Management Team.

About the Candidate

• must be able to work and communicate effectively within a shift-based team environment;
• must be able to work on a shift roster 7 days on 7 days off, 7 nights on 7 nights off 12 hour shifts;
• strong adherence to safe work practices and actively participate in workplace safety;
• the ideal candidate will already hold or be prepared to commence Cert III in Laboratory Skills; and
• good mathematical comprehension and computer literacy.
