About the Role 
Reporting to the Learning & Development Superintendent, the successful candidate will achieve and maintain a level of operator competency within the laboratory operation in line with business needs.  You will manage the training system in terms of training packages, assessments and competencies.

Responsibilities include:
•    development and management of a single training matrix which encompasses the laboratory teams;
•    development and management of a training system to include the integration and standard formatting of work procedures, training packages and assessments;
•    participate in needs analysis studies to determine training needs for Laboratory Technician levels;
•    conduct group and individual training sessions (theoretical and hands on);
•    assess Laboratory Technician’s competency at the completion of each training package through knowledge and hands on assessments;
•    maintain and develop Laboratory training systems, documentation and procedures;
•    develop and conduct area inductions;
•    provide technical support to Laboratory Technicians;and
•    responsibility for training requirements of the Laboratory Trainee(s)

About the Candidate
•    Diploma level laboratory qualifications or relevant tertiary qualification;
•    Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessing;
•    Five years’ experience as a laboratory technician or relevant industry experience;
•    Knowledge of relevant WHS legislation;
•    High-level written and verbal communication skills;and
•    Good knowledge of MS Office programs;
