About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling online mechanical and electrical preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

This role focuses on maximising plant availability through effective planning and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, manufacturer specifications, and site standards. You will play a key part in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting a safe, reliable plant environment.

Responsibilities include

• identifying and planning online maintenance activities to ensure operational reliability;
• analysing historical data and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules to optimise performance;
• assisting in defining labour requirements and sourcing specialist contractor support for efficient execution;
• liaising with operational personnel on clean-out plans and permitting requirements to maintain compliance and safety;
• monitoring the online planning process to uphold high standards and enable smooth execution of maintenance activities; and
• attending and facilitating meetings to communicate scopes, align with KPIs, and coordinate requirements across all work groups and contractors.

About the Candidate

• a trade certification in either Electrical or Mechanical trade;
• at least 5 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a continuous mineral processing, mining, or heavy industry maintenance environment;
• hands-on exposure to maintenance planning, with a solid understanding of planning principles and procedures;
• knowledge of computerised maintenance systems, ideally SAP, and strong computer literacy across spreadsheets, databases, scheduling tools (MS Project), and word processing applications;
• highly motivated, with the ability to work independently, using initiative to take ownership of tasks, and drive results;
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in a team environment;  and
• confidence in communicating at all levels of the organisation and facilitating collaboration across multiple work groups.
