About the Role:
Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes Lithium Operation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Infrastructure Non-Process Manager to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager – Operations, this pivotal leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and drive performance across a broad portfolio of essential site services. This includes infrastructure and mobile plant maintenance, laboratory operations, water treatment plants, port storage facilities, tailings storage facilities, and mine water circuits. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth, safety, and sustainability of one of the world’s premier lithium operations.

 


Duties of the Role:
Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
•    manage the development of systems and processes to ensure legal compliance with the obligations (environmental laws, regulations, licences and permits) relevant to Site operations.  Includes fulfilling all legal reporting requirements;
•    facilitating the development of the Site culture, which ensures the correct workforce behaviours through the development of workforce training, awareness, and communication programs;
•    manage relationships with the Regulators on Site specific issues - including liaison regarding Site licensing and obligations, incidents, compliance issues etc;
•    ensuring the establishment of strategies to maintain a process of continuous improvement; identifying areas of required policy and procedural development and to encourage the optimum involvement in and ownership of the Infrastructure assets; 
•    development planning and monitoring systems the Infrastructure assets and appropriate key performance indicators;
•    establishment of training systems to continually enhance the required skillsets of the Infrastructure department crew members;
•    planning and scheduling site Infrastructure requirements to meet deadlines;
•    prepare the business plan, operating cost and capital budgets; and
•    ensuring adequate maintenance and operational systems are in place for the Site Mine Water Circuits and Tailings Storage Facilities to sustain the ongoing production profile.

 

About the Candidate:
It is preferred that the candidate should hold tertiary education qualifications in one of the following disciplines: 
•    Mechanical Engineering; 
•    Electrical Engineering;
•    Civil Engineering; or
•    Project Management.


The candidate should ideally have the following skills and/or experience:
•    minimum 10 years Mining and Maintenance experience;
•    understanding of maintenance management systems;
•    construction experience is desirable;
•    understanding project management systems;
•    effective people management skills;
•    effective project management skills;
•    analytical skills to prepare budgets/forecasts and analyse cost variance;
•    understanding of safety regulations and standards;
•    ability to monitor business performance;
•    understanding of environmental management systems;
•    highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; and
•    high level of computer literacy including Microsoft suite.

 

The candidate should have the following Competencies:
•    Apply First Aid; and
•    current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence.
