About the Role

This role provides an opportunity to join a growing team in the South West of WA. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing the technical team associated with some of the extensive crushing and processing facilities. 

This is a permanent, full-time, residential position based at our Greenbushes Lithium Operation. You can work a 40hr week, comprised of 5 days on and 2 days off, with flexible work options available.

About the Plants

The Greenbushes site includes three crushing circuits, and five processing plants, including a newly constructed crushing and processing plant which are ready for commissioning.

Processing steps include high pressure grinding rolls, dense media circuit, flat bed classifiers, screens, cyclones, flotation circuits, filtration, thickeners, high and low intensity magnetic separators, spirals and wet tables. Experience in some or all of these processing steps will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities include:

• Champion safe behaviours within organisation;
• Empower, encourage and develop a diverse team of Metallurgists and technicians;
• Ensure production is maintained to specification, recovery and production rates;
• Ensure completion of metallurgical accounting and reporting;
• Manage cost of production; and
• Identify, implement, and organise projects to improve plant performance.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience in technical leadership role;
• Embrace diversity;
• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent; and
• Willingness to guide your team while supporting a positive team culture.
