About the Role:

We are excited to announce that we are inviting applications for a new position in alignment with our Mining team – a Mine Production Analysis Engineer. Reporting into the Senior Planning Engineer, the primary focus of this is to gather, analyse and report on Mine Production related data with a view to identify performance trends and ares of improvement, as well as corresponding strategies to enhance conformance to plan. The position is of crucial importance to Talison and a great opportunity for skills, experience, and influence to be applied to support the delivery of Talison’s strategic priorities.

This a residential role, based at our Greenbushes Lithium Operation, on a 4:3 (10hr days) roster. Company accommodation is potentially on offer, but you must be prepared to live within 60 minutes of site during your swing.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide analysis of daily, weekly and monthly production data with a view to identifying positive and negative trends;
• Management of weekly and monthly conformance to plan metrics for load and haul and drill and blast activities;
• Governance of the time usage model tracking metrics for load and haul and drill and blast in identifying equipment inefficiencies;
• Development of Power BI reports to support/illustrate the analysis activities outlined above;
• Provide support for the Senior Mine Projects Engineer and Mining Contracts Specialist; and
• Provide support/coverage for Mine Planning Engineering and Mine Coordinator team during periods of planned and unplanned leave.

About the Candidate:
The following qualification/s and competencies are considered critical for this position:

• Formal Engineering, Geology or Surveying qualification - Required;
• Mining Engineering degree - Highly desirable;
• Statutory Supervisor Certificate- Highly desirable;
• Apply First Aid Certificate; and
• Current unrestricted ‘C’ class Drivers licence.

The incumbent should have the following skills and/or experience:

• Knowledge of mine economics, mine safety and environmental requirements;
• Knowledge of database structure, queries and reporting;
• Analytical skills to assist planning preparation and analysis; and
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills.
