About the Role:

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Specialist, the Recruitment Officer plays an important role in delivering a professional, fair and positive recruitment experience.

Working closely within the recruitment team, you will help facilitate a transparent and merit-based recruitment and selection process while supporting a smooth and welcoming onboarding journey for new employees. Through strong collaboration with Hiring Managers and key stakeholders, you will help ensure workforce needs are met in a timely manner and contribute to attracting talented people who align with Talison’s values and culture.

This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering a high-quality candidate experience, and values building strong relationships across the business.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • managing the end-to-end recruitment cycle including advertising, sourcing and screening of candidates, conducting interviews and reference checks, scheduling medicals and inductions and contract preparation and approval;
  • liaising with Hiring Managers on vacant and approved positions to commence the relevant recruitment and selection process in accordance with the relevant procedure;
  • providing advice and guidance on recruitment strategies to support effective attraction and selection outcomes;
  • supporting the application of quality assurance processes and providing assistance to management and support staff in the application of recruitment policy and procedures;
  • responding to enquiries regarding employment opportunities and assisting applicants with submitting applications;
  •  working within a team, accurately processing recruitment requests, utilising an online recruitment system and providing online recruitment support when required;
  •  establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • ensuring compliance within the legislative framework for recruitment processes; and
  • providing an exceptional candidate experience.

 

About the Candidate:

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • ideally 2 or more years’ recruitment experience;
  • the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • familiarity with onboarding programs such as SuccessFactors:
  • the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel within the business;
  • exceptional organisational and time management skills with an eye for detail; and
  • a great work ethic with demonstrated experience working as part of a close-knit team.
