About the Role:

As the Senior Procurement Officer, you will report directly to the Procurement Coordinator, undertaking responsibilities that demand a high level of expertise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless purchasing operations, driving efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

This position offers the consideration of hybrid working arrangements, that may include a portion of work from home.

Responsibilities include:

As our Senior Procurement Officer, you will be at the forefront of our procurement operations, responsible for:

• daily operational purchasing;
• running MRP as scheduled;
• problem-solving complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) purchase order issues;
• monitoring and reporting exceptions of vendor performance;
• recommending alternate suppliers to improve cost, quality, and reliability of supply;
• liaising with suppliers to procure urgent items;
• provide guidance to junior team members;
• responding to queries from external stakeholders;
• collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive high-quality customer service; and
• provide coverage for the Procurement Coordinator for purchasing team when required.

About the Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you should ideally demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

•  extensive experience with purchasing systems;
• 10+ years of experience in a similar role;
• advanced Excel skills;
• outstanding ability to expedite tasks;
• highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;
• demonstrated fulfilment of duties to a very high level as a Senior Procurement Officer; and
• chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 2 Certificate in procurement and supply operations (or equivalent).
