This is a permanent, full-time position based in Greenbushes, working an attractive roster (7 days on, 7 days off - 12 hour shifts).

 

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Water Treatment Plant Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of our Water Treatment Plant (WTP). This role is responsible for overseeing the performance of WTP operators, maintaining safety and environmental standards, and ensuring efficient plant functionality in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • conducting inductions for non-WTP personnel and visitors;
  • leading daily pre-start meetings for operational teams;
  • performing daily hazard inspections and reporting deficiencies;
  • ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures during all operations;
  • coordinating with Maintenance and Infrastructure teams to ensure plant integrity and operational safety;
  • overseeing safe plant isolation for maintenance work;
  • liaising with suppliers to ensure consistent and quality supply;
  • managing WTP operator activities, sampling, documentation, and compliance with procedures;
  • ensuring training requirements for WTP operators are met in consultation with site training personnel;
  • maintaining quality systems and documentation for the WTP;
  • managing the operator shift roster within budgetary limits;
  • providing day-to-day support to WTP operators;
  • supporting and communicating regularly with the Infrastructure Manager; and
  • reporting on plant performance as required.

 

This is a permanent, full-time position, working an attractive residential roster (7 days on, 7 days off), located in Greenbushes.

The following qualification/s, skills and experience are considered desirable for this position:

at least five years of relevant industry experience and/or a relevant tertiary qualification;

strong written and verbal communication abilities;

solid understanding of safety and environmental legislation;

familiarity with environmental licence requirements for water management;

Competence in job safety analysis and risk assessment;

Level 2 isolation qualified; and

proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
