About the Role:
Talison Lithium is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remuneration & Benefits Advisor/Specialist to join our Remuneration, Benefits and Payroll team based at our head office in the Perth CBD. Reporting to the Remuneration, Benefits & Payroll Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and administration of Talison’s remuneration and benefits framework and related systems.
They will provide expert advice on remuneration and benefits programs, contribute to policy development, and support key cyclical activities such as salary reviews, market benchmarking, incentive programs, and benefits analysis. Duties of the Role:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the design, implementation and administration of the Talison remuneration and benefits framework and accompanying strategies and systems;
- Provide accurate, timely, and practical advice on all aspects of remuneration and benefits to business units and People & Culture teams, supporting decision-making around salary offers, job changes and entitlements;
- Conduct market benchmarking, job evaluations, and internal equity assessments to ensure pay structures remain competitive, fair, and aligned with Talison’s strategies and framework;
- Administer incentive schemes by preparing, analysing, and validating data for performance-related pay calculations, ensuring outcomes are accurate, timely, and aligned with policy and performance metrics;
- Support the delivery of the annual remuneration review process, including data preparation, analysis and validation, generating relevant reporting, and providing support and guidance to leaders;
- Research, analyse, and deliver evidence-based recommendations on remuneration and benefits programs, using market trends, industry benchmarks and internal data;
- Identify and lead opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and systems, ensuring efficiency, user experience, and alignment with evolving business needs;
- Monitor and interpret legislative, regulatory, and compliance changes related to pay and benefits, ensuring Talison’s processes and practices remain up-to-date and compliant;
- Support functional projects including Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) submissions, gender pay equity reviews, market benchmarking submissions, incentive scheme evaluations, and other human resources related initiatives.
About the Candidate:
The following qualifications are considered essential for this position:
- Tertiary Qualification in Human Resource Management (or a related business discipline).
The incumbent should have the following skills and/or experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in remuneration, rewards or compensation-focused HR roles;
- Solid understanding of remuneration frameworks, policies, management of incentive plans, job evaluation, and market analysis;
- Demonstrated experience working with HR/Payroll systems (PayGlobal/SAP SuccessFactors preferably);
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills;
- Experience interpreting company policies and guidelines, and industrial instruments such as modern awards and enterprise agreements;
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail with high accuracy in processing data and reporting;
- An improvement-driven mindset focused on streamlining processes to maximise efficiency;
- High degree of confidentiality;
- High level of self-motivation; and
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
