About the Role

- ensuring strict compliance with Permit to Work systems, including issuing, reviewing, and closing permits for high-risk activities (confined space entry, hot work, working at heights, and electrical work);
- enforcing and verifying Isolation and Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure plant and equipment are safely isolated prior to maintenance or intervention;
- coordinating with maintenance and technical teams to manage planned shutdowns, equipment isolations, and plant start-ups;
- maintaining compliance with Western Australian mining regulations and site-specific safety management systems;
- monitoring plant conditions and responding to process upsets associated with crushing, grinding, flotation, and lithium concentrate handling circuits;
- promoting environmental compliance, including tailings management, dust suppression, and reagent handling practices typical of lithium processing plants; and
- supporting continuous improvement initiatives aligned with modern lithium production demands and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards.

- a proactive, collaborative approach with a demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental performance;
- sound decision-making skills in a continuous processing or shift-based environment;
